A Jerry whale who set up the billboards in LA, is now about to produce a documentary that will feature jerry
A core Jerry ($JYAI) community whale is moving from billboards to the big screen, announcing plans to produce a documentary series centred on Jerry the Turtle and the culture of “crypto whales,” with the aim of pitching it to Netflix.
Alexander, the Los Angeles–based holder who funded and organized Jerry’s new Ventura Boulevard billboard and a forthcoming Calabasas placement, revealed in a community chat that he has prior documentary experience and industry contacts to make the project happen quickly.
“I have been involved in shooting a documentary before on the Discovery Channel / TLC regarding dog cloning,” he said, noting he assembled a full production team for that project and plans to do the same again.
“The story of crypto whales is something the world would love to hear about,” Alexander explained.
“Most people view crypto as something they don’t understand. A documentary about crypto whales would shock the market with something that hasn’t been done before.”
He believes the Jerry community already has the raw ingredients, compelling journeys, high-stakes decision-making, and a fast-growing ecosystem, to anchor a multi-episode series that could include Jerry the Turtle alongside related plays.
Drawing on what he calls a deep network in Los Angeles, Alexander says he’ll start making calls this week to assemble a production crew, gather on-camera testimonials from moderators and early community members, and begin scripting.
“It would be very easy to take a couple of testimonials and storylines from some of our mods and put together an extremely inspiring story that ties everything together, so people understand, in a profound way, how this space works,” he said.
The billboard push, already live, serves as proof-of-execution and a narrative bridge for the film effort: a grassroots meme project stepping into mainstream visibility. “Just as we’ve seen our first billboard go up, we will see Jerry the Turtle on Netflix,” Alexander said, adding that a 60- to 90-day production window is possible once the team is in place.
While no streaming platform has been officially announced, the initiative underscores the growing ambition and professionalism around Jerry: a community whale bankrolling real-world marketing, leveraging past documentary work, and attempting to translate crypto’s inside story for a global audience.
Whether on a freeway billboard or a streaming queue, the aim is the same, more visibility, more understanding, and a wider on-ramp for newcomers curious about the project and the broader culture it represents.
